Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Accountant II position within the Department of Administration – Finance Division. The job duties of the Accountant II include but are not limited to assist the Finance Department in the overall administration and management of the Finance Department functions and to perform accounting, payroll employee compensation and benefits and auditing tasks in compliance with County, State and Federal requirements.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, preferably with an emphasis on governmental accounting. Three (3) years of recent accounting experience required. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) required. Valid driver’s license required. Wage: $23.61 – $25.50 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
