    Qualifications for this key position include a Bachelor’s Degree in public or business administration or a related field, with a preference for a Master’s Degree. A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible administrative and leadership experience in a municipal organization or utility is desired. Consideration will be given to candidates with private sector or military backgrounds, provided they can demonstrate accomplishments relevant to the identified skills. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in budgeting and municipal finance, organizational change and development, intergovernmental relations, city planning, community engagement, and infrastructure improvement planning and implementation. To be successful, candidates should embody high personal and professional integrity, excel as a team builder in addressing community issues, exhibit a collaborative decision-making style, demonstrate a strong commitment to public service, hold people accountable while serving as a facilitator and mentor in achieving community goals, and possess high level of emotional intelligence.
