The City of Appleton is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Director Finance. This is a management position responsible for overseeing the annual audit and budget for the City. This position supervises management, professional and clerical staff and is responsible for the general ledger, tax roll processing, and special projects. The position is responsible for coordinating accounting functions and internal controls City-Wide. The position acts as a liaison for City departments and outside agencies. The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Finance Director.

Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, minimum of six to seven years accounting experience (with five years in a supervisory capacity) preferably in municipal government, CPA, or combination of applicable experience and training.

Salary
The salary range for the Deputy Director Finance position is $39.54 to $59.31 hourly plus an excellent fringe benefit package including: paid time off; health, dental and vision insurance; life insurance; short-/long-term disability insurance; accident insurance; employee health clinic; health and wellness programs; post-employment health plan; deferred compensation; and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).
