Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Clerk is responsible for cash receipts, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, journal entries, grant claims, reporting, assist with audit preparation, and other accounting functions as assigned by the Business Manager. The Finance Clerk will be a resource to other departments for reconciliations, grant claims, proper account coding, credit card and cash transaction procedures, reconciliations and reporting. This position will cross train with both Payroll and Accounts Payable and be backup support in the absence of Payroll or Accounts Payable.
Education, license and/or experience:
*Associates Degree or higher in Accounting and/or Business Management
*Work experience in related field preferred Governmental Accounting experience
*Knowledge of Wisconsin Uniform Financial Accounting Requirements (WUFAR) preferred, or the ability to acquire this knowledge
