Finance Director/Treasurer – Village of Harrison

Harrison is located on the scenic northeast shores of Lake Winnebago, incorporating a satisfying blend of urban and rural settings. It is located east of the City of Appleton and 28 miles southwest of the City of Green Bay. The Village of Harrison encompasses approximately 32 sq. miles and has a population of 15,090.
The Village is governed by a board consisting of a President and six Trustees elected for two-year terms. A Village Manager is appointed by the Village Board (by Charter Ordinance) for an indefinite term to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Village. The newly created Finance Director will perform the statutory duties of Finance Director/Village Treasurer as provided in Wisconsin Statutes 61.26 and administer accounting and financial management functions, policies and procedures, and oversee and manage the Village of Harrison’s financial position, including stormwater, sewer and water utilities. The work is performed under the direction of the Village Manager.

The Village is seeking a technically skilled and collaborative professional capable of managing fiscal activities and working alongside department managers to identify opportunities for improvement. The Village of Harrison has a bond rating of Aa1 from Moody’s Investor Services and had an operational expenditure budget of $15 million and a general fund budget of $5 million. The Village has six tax increment districts.

The starting salary range for this position is $83,100 – $94,900 depending on qualifications and experience. The village offers an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental and vision, ample PTO, holiday pay, and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
