This is a technical position responsible for the acquisition and management of local, state, and federal grants and the oversight of the City’s procurement process. Standard duties will involve identifying grant opportunities, drafting grant applications, grant administration, ensuring compliance with uniform grant guidance requirements, preparing financial reports, auditing and reporting of grant awards, maintaining files and spreadsheets, providing purchasing guidance for grant and general City purchases, drafting contracts, vendor outreach, and contract oversight. This position will also assist City departments with the drafting of RFB/RFP documents and provide departments with the purchasing-related guidance necessary to make informed and thoughtful decisions on departmental purchasing needs. This position will work under the general supervision of the City Controller.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Administration with 2 years of experience in accounting or finance. Training or coursework in project management is desired, but not required. A combination of relevant coursework, training, and work experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Salary:
The starting salary for this position is $63,752 annually, plus an excellent benefit package including participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
