Oversees fiscal functions and reporting/recording systems for various Human Services programs to ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting. Assists in monitoring compliance with procedures required by regulatory agencies, including all Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements and statements.
Monitors fiscal processes and identifies improvements or solutions, as needed. Leads change management initiatives and partners with stakeholders to ensure effective results. Considers accounting principles, audit techniques, and internal controls at all times.
Leads complex fiscal reporting processes in the Human Services Department, including budget, external audit, Single Audit, and other reporting of a complex nature. Analyzes cash flow and funding sources to ensure optimum performance.
Execute all duties as directed by Deputy Finance Director and Human Services leadership staff.

•Thorough knowledge of governmental accounting and budgetary procedures.

•Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Training, Experience and Other Requirements
•Bachelor’s Degree required, Accounting preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
•Minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience with knowledge of GASB, proper audit techniques and internal controls.
•Strong preference for experience in governmental accounting and public administration.
•Proven proficiency and expertise in using Excel spreadsheets and accounting software; proven track record of excellent organizational and analytical skills and precision in working with details.
•Strong preference for proven skill in collaborative relationships with various members/organizations in a consortium or collaborative workgroup.
