    Full-Time Position
    Location: Libertyville, IL
    Salary Range: $54,797 – $68,525 – $82,252

    SUMMARY:
    The Accountant utilizes professional accounting knowledge in order to implement generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. Monitors transactions to ensure compliance with District policies and procedures. Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports for large recreational programs, recording and facilitating District-wide credit card processing and website financial reporting, preparing bank reconciliations and maintaining files to comply with Bond Recordkeeping Policy. Prepares journal entries to record activities. Processes bi-weekly payroll journal entries. Prepares monthly sales tax return for Illinois Department of Revenue. Provides account analysis to independent auditors for annual audit. Works with department directors in preparation of the annual budget. Drives a motorized vehicle to travel to different locations. Performs tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching and sitting. Performs lifting tasks up to 25 pounds.

    EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance. Three years accounting experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to collect, compile and analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions and translating observations and results into clear, concise reports. Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Must possess valid driver’s license.
