The City of Oshkosh, Wisconsin is searching for a full-time Management Assistant/Management Analyst – Budget. This is a professional position that requires general knowledge and understanding of municipal governmental finance and understanding of the operations of municipal government which may be obtained through completion of a Master’s in Public Administration or other Master’s Degree program. Work involves, but is not limited to, assisting in the development, preparation and administration of the annual operating and capital budgets, as well as performing duties involved in the research, analysis and development of financial forecasting tools. Assignments afford some opportunity for independent judgment in planning work or in making technical decisions.
Required Minimum Qualifications for Management Assistant
• Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance Accounting, Public Administration or a closely related field. Graduate students who have substantially completed course requirements towards a Master’s Degree may also be considered.
• A valid driver’s license.
Required Minimum Qualifications for Management Analyst
• Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance Accounting, Public Administration or a closely related field.
• Two or more years of related professional experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
