    The Town of Clayton is accepting applications for the position of Town Treasurer. Under the general supervision of the Town Administrator, the Town Treasurer performs all functions and duties defined under Wisconsin State Statute 60.34.

    Duties include the responsibility for financial planning, budgeting, fund accounting, revenue administration, tax collection, data processing, the billing and collecting of special assessments and service charges, payroll and employee benefits administration.

    The successful candidate will have strong communication and public relations skills that enable interaction with the public in a courteous and tactful manner. The Town is seeking a person with the ability to pay close attention to detail and keep accurate records.

    A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field is preferred.
