    Utility Operator

    The Village of Slinger is a community-owned utility that operates a WWTP and a water distribution system that includes 30 miles of distribution mains, two iron filters, booster stations, two water towers, and three municipal wells. We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a full-time utility operator, with a starting pay rate between $26.61 -$32.94/hour. Prior municipal utility experience a plus. The ideal applicant will possess the following:

    Wisconsin Class B CDL (with airbrakes and tanker endorsements) or obtain within 60 days.

    Possess, or ability to obtain a valid DNR licensing in Wastewater, Groundwater, and Water Distribution within one year of hire.

    Ability to work in all weather conditions performing strenuous physical labor and heavy manual tasks.

    Advanced education in water, wastewater and environmental studies preferred but not required.

    Slinger offers a full benefit package including: health, dental, and life insurance, sick leave, FSA, Long-Term Disability, 10 paid holidays, 1 personal day, Wisconsin Deferred Compensation and Wisconsin Retirement.

    This position will require participation in a 4-person, paid, rotating on-call schedule, which includes nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants will need to respond when on-call within 30 minutes.

    The successful candidate is required to pass a background check, job related physical and pre-employment drug testing prior to being hired. EEOC.
