Village of Lisbon, WI (Population 10,523)
The Village of Lisbon is located in Waukesha County, 15 miles northwest of Milwaukee. A residential community with a population of 10,523, Lisbon offers a welcoming smalltown atmosphere with access to nearby metropolitan amenities.
The village contains several commercial areas, beautiful subdivisions, thriving business park, excellent schools, 170 acres of parks, and three golf courses to enjoy. Lisbon is served by four school districts: Arrowhead, Hamilton, Merton and Richmond.
Incorporated as a village in 2023, The Lisbon Village Board consists of five members who are elected at-large and serve staggered two-year terms. The total annual general fund budget is $7.3M and one Tax Incremental District (TID). There are 16 full-time and 65 part-time/seasonal employees, including paid on-call firefighters.
A successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree—master’s degree preferred—in public or business administration or related field with at least 5 years of municipal management experience. Residency is encouraged. The Village Board seeks a candidate with a strong background in budget development/municipal finance, capital project management, human resources management, economic development, intergovernmental relations, and community leadership. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of both personal and professional integrity, a strong work ethic, commitment to public service, and the ability to work harmoniously with elected officials.
