    Deputy Treasurer / Governance Coordinator

    The Village of Mount Horeb / Mount Horeb Utilities, an innovative and progressive local government organization, is in search of an experienced financial professional to join our team as Deputy Treasurer / Governance Coordinator.

    This position assists our Finance Director / Treasurer in planning and administering the day-to-day and year-end finance functions of the Village of Mount Horeb and all Village owned utilities. In addition, this position will work closely with the Village’s board and commissions to ensure that all necessary documents are collected, distributed and posted timely.

    Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred, Associates Degree with equivalent experience considered; Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in fund accounting, local government experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. Some evening hours are required for meeting attendance.

    Full-time position, starting wage dependent upon qualifications, includes competitive benefit package.
