The Village of Plover seeks to fill its Village Treasurer/Finance Director position (due to retirement). Summary of Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the collection, disbursement, and investment of Village of Plover funds; maintains bookkeeping, payroll, special assessment and utility billing records; does related work as required. Responsible for all fiscal and record keeping duties in the maintenance of financial and accounting records, reports, and statements. Required to exercise good judgment in the application of prescribed financial procedures and regulations, and in accordance with Village and State laws.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field is required. 3-5 years’ experience in governmental accounting/finance required.
Preferred Qualifications: Current license or accreditation as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Public Finance Officer, or Certified Government Finance Manager is preferred.
Pay & Benefits: This full time salaried position has a salary range of $85,312 – $94,477 (based on experience). The Village offers participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System and a competitive benefits package. This is an exempt position under the FLSA not eligible for overtime pay.
