Job Announcement – Deputy Finance Director/Deputy Treasurer
The Village of Waunakee is excited to announce the position opening for Deputy Finance Director. This is a new position and will play in integral role in the day-to-day operations and management of our financial functions.
Under the general direction of the Finance Director, the Deputy Finance Director will perform and assist in the performance of a various activities, including maintaining the accounting system and assisting with the preparation of the annual budget.
Minimally qualified candidates will possess:
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university or college; and
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in accounting, preferably in a municipal government; or
• An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience
A CPA license is preferred, but not required.
The authorized starting wage range for this position is $38.45 – $40.40 per hour, up to $49.23 with additional authorization; DOQ. Excellent benefit package including health, dental, and life insurances, as well as participation in the WRS pension program.
