Walworth County is seeking a full-time Finance Supervisor. This position is a supervisory-level responsible for providing daily financial support and assistance related to accounting, budgeting and financial reporting for the assigned departments of Clerk of Courts and Finance and oversight responsibilities for Register of Deeds, Veterans, and UW-Extension ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting guidelines, County policies, state statutes and legal requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating investment bid options, maintaining complex investment data files, preparing the quarterly investment report and overseeing the accounting for all investment transactions. This position shall also lead assigned process improvement projects.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or formal preparation equivalent to a four-year program with three to five years of experience is required. Knowledge of budget, governmental accounting and investment accounting preferred as well as knowledge of computer system capabilities as they apply to financial records.
