Waukesha County, located in the southeast corner of Wisconsin next to the Milwaukee Metropolitan area, is recruiting for a talented leader to serve as Budget Manager within the Department of Administration. The position is responsible for supervisory and professional work in the development and implementation of the countywide capital and operating budgets totaling over $320 million. Ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational, communication, analytical and problem solving skills; possess the ability to direct and develop staff; and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to solve problems and leverage opportunities with respect to budget development and operational management. Minimum requirements: graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in business or public administration, accounting, finance or a closely related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the areas of budgeting, accounting or fiscal management. Master’s Degree in an area listed above may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement.
