You are invited to attend the Brownfield Redevelopment Learning Sessions for Local Governments. Information regarding the upcoming Brownfield Redevelopment Learning Sessions for Local Governments is now available on DNR’s webpage. In addition to the Remediation and Redevelopment (RR) News article, you can find information regarding the sessions on DNR’s RR training page.
The free sessions are hosted by the DNR’s Remediation and Redevelopment Program in partnership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). Attendees will learn about resources, including funding and liability protections, available to local governments for redevelopment of brownfield properties into community assets. Session attendees will hear first-hand from local government officials, who will share their perspectives on the benefits and challenges of brownfield redevelopments.

Local governments that have abandoned, idle and/or underutilized properties with impediments to redevelopment should consider attending one of the sessions. Local government representatives and officials will learn about the resources available from DNR and WEDC to help overcome those challenges.
