    Director of Administrative Services

    Due to an impending retirement, the Village of Grafton is seeking its next Director of Administrative Services, a vital role for the organization.

    Under the general direction of the Village Administrator, the Director of Administrative Services performs a variety of routine and complex supervisory, professional, administrative, and technical accounting and finance functions in maintaining the fiscal records and systems of the Village. They are also responsible for overseeing the statutory function of the Clerk.

    Essential duties include establishing and maintaining internal control procedures, assuring that state and national standard accounting procedures are maintained; maintaining financial records and preparing financial reports, and developing financial studies and plans to forecast, estimate, and monitor the financial condition of the Village; assisting in budget preparation and execution which includes monitoring revenues and expenditures for sound fiscal controls, and reviewing annual budget requests for effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time; and supervising the collection of taxes, fees, and other receipts in accordance with laws and regulations.

    Graduation from an accredited 4-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a closely related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible municipal finance work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and ability is required.
