The Village of Grafton is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accountant/Finance Analyst to join our Administrative Services team due to an upcoming retirement. In this vital role, you will assist in the maintenance of the accounting records for the Village including reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank accounts, journal entries, and fixed assets. The position is currently classified as a permanent full-time role. However, we are open to converting it to a part-time position with no less than a 75% full-time equivalent (FTE) based on the successful candidate’s availability.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and annual audit.
• Assists in preparation of property tax bills.
• Assist in the maintenance of Village payroll processes and related reporting functions.
• Processes payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Assist in the review of utility billing and processes billing and payment adjustments.
• Serves as the backup for processing Utility billings.
• Assists departments with grant processing and tracking as necessary.
• Assists with budget development.-
Education and Experience
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Three (3) years of increasingly responsible related experience, municipal government experience preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant desirable

The salary range is $32.92 – $42.00 per hour +/- depending on qualifications.
