    The City of Park Falls is seeking a City Administrator to succeed the current Administrator who will be departing for a larger municipality at the end of May, 2024. Located in the beautiful north central part of Wisconsin, Park Falls is a regional retail center located in northern Price County. The City is situated on the North Fork of the Flambeau River and has a rich and vibrant history. The nearby Chequamegon-Nicolet Forest and numerous lakes, rivers and streams make the Park Falls area a year-round outdoor recreational paradise and is a very popular destination for fishing, hunting, canoeing/kayaking, whitewater rafting and recreational vehicle use. It is the home to several large companies and governmental offices, including National Forest Service, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources regional facilities, Chequamegon School District, Weathershield Windows and Doors, Flambeau Hospital, Marshfield Clinic, Park Manor Nursing Home, Midwest Hardwoods, and St. Croix Rods.

    Park Falls is a full-service municipality and prides itself in being a great community to live, work, play and learn in. Salary $95,000-$115,000 plus excellent benefits, DOQ. Mayor and eight City Council Members elected on a non-partisan basis. $6M total budget including Sewer and Water Utilities and TIF, 24 FT and approx. 60+PT employees (includes fire, lifeguards, housing authority, etc.). Future emphasis on economic development/redevelopment, performance-based budgeting and updating the Comprehensive Plan.

    Require Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field; prefer Master’s Degree with at least 3 years progressive municipal management experience. Residency is encouraged but not required. Desire a strong background in budget development/debt financing (including TIF experience); proactive in responding to economic development opportunities, a leader in commercial development and community planning and grant writing/administration. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of integrity; open and positive communication skills; strong listening skills and leadership in addressing community issues and problems.
