Finance Director – Vernon County

Right in the heart of the Driftless region of southwest Wisconsin, Vernon County offers a wide variety of opportunities for business set within the most spectacular scenic areas in the Midwest. As a local county government our operations vary from emergency services, health and human services, zoning, land and water conservation, and court services.
We are seeking an experienced finance professional for our Finance Director position. The Finance Director plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing a range of technical tasks related to the preparation, review, and presentation of the county’s financial information and internal control structure.

The optimal candidate must have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, have a minimum of five (5) years of responsible work experience in governmental accounting and auditing, and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
